Reports indicate numerous unauthorized purchases, among them veneers and airline tickets, coupled with 270 Amazon orders totaling approximately $4,774. On top of these purchases, Hutchinson is alleged to have financed vacations, including cruise payments, using her elderly client’s funds. Her reckless spending reached new lows with payments for photography classes and pet care, including Vrbo rentals.

Hutchinson’s professional relationship with the victim began in January 2020 when hired to assist his late wife. Gradual involvement with the household saw her rise as a personal assistant. Using this trusted position, she allegedly garnered unfettered access to personal financial resources, which she exploited for personal gain. She reportedly justified her actions by claiming the withdrawals were loans she meant to reimburse, a claim authorities have not substantiated.

“Taking advantage of an elderly man who entrusted her with his life savings while also paying her a good salary is inexcusable and unforgivable. She is now charged with three very serious felonies,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.
