Nick Pasqual Extradited to Face Murder Charges

(USNewsMag.com) – Actor Nick Pasqual, known for his role in the sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” has been extradited from California to Texas on charges of attempted murder in the Golden State.

According to court documents, Pasqual allegedly stabbed his girlfriend several times after he broke into her Los Angeles residence in the Sunland neighborhood around 4:30 AM on Thursday, May 23.

The victim was identified as 35-year-old makeup artist and hairstylist Allie Shehorn, who was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. After he went on the run, a warrant immediately went out for Pasqual’s arrest. He fled California into Texas and tried to cross the border out of the US before Border Patrol stopped him at a Sierra Blanca checkpoint, according to the LA County District Attorney’s Office.

Pasqual faces charges of attempted murder, burglary, and more. He pled guilty to all counts on Thursday, June 13, and is set to return to court on July 16. Pasqual is being held without bail and prosecutors believe he could face a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted.

Shehorn and Pasqual had a rocky history before the attempted murder, and she already had a restraining order against him at the time.

Pasqual, who appeared in some minor roles throughout his career, was most well-known for his role on the sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.” He also appeared on the sketch comedy series National Day Riff.

Shehorn worked in the movie industry, too, but as a make-up artist. The latest sets she worked on before the incident were for the 2024 reboot of Mean Girls, Babylon, and the Netflix sci-fi movie series Rebel Moon, in which Pasqual had a minor uncredited role. She has reportedly been removed from the ICU and is recovering successfully from her injuries after Pasqual stabbed her over 20 times all over her body.

LA District Attorney George Gascon called Pasqual’s crime a “heinous incident,” one he said serves as “a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence.” He vowed to hold the actor accountable for his actions.
