Democrats Latch onto New Trump Hoax after ‘Bloodbath’ Comment

(USNewsMag.com) – During his Fox News show “Jesse Watters Primetime,” host Jesse Watters explained why Democrats are latching onto former President Donald Trump’s “bloodbath” comment.

Trump’s comment came during his March 16th rally in Ohio about the U.S. auto industry and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Trump has been discussing car manufacturing plants being built by China in Mexico and how he would put a 100 percent tariff on cars shipped into the U.S. from Mexico. He added that if he is not re-elected in November, it would be a “bloodbath” for the whole country because the cheaper cars built in Mexico would kill the auto industry.

However, the media and Democrats took his comment and wrote that Trump called for a “bloodbath” if he loses the election to President Joe Biden in November. The media also claimed it was Trump attempting to stoke violence. Biden even weighed in on the comment, writing on Twitter that Trump was calling for “another January 6th.”

Watters stated that the media needed a distraction from Biden’s actions and falling poll numbers, as Biden is “facing a landslide loss.” Watters said that Trump’s comment allowed them to create “a new hoax.”

After seeing the comment and doing his own research, Watters blasted the media for running with the out-of-context comment, telling his viewers not to believe the news unless it comes from his show. He said that the clips used by the Democrats and the media were edited together, going on to show a video of his own edited clips featuring critics of Trump claiming he will make himself a dictator if he’s re-elected.

Trump also responded to the Democrat’s interpretation of his comment. In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that he had been referencing car “imports allowed by Crooked Joe Biden,” adding that the imports are killing the auto industry. In his post, he wrote that if he is re-elected, in contrast to Biden, the auto manufacturing industry would thrive.
