White House Slams Musk For Support On Antisemitic Hate Post

(USNewsMag.com) – The White House is criticizing Elon Musk’s Nov. 15 response to an antisemitic post on Twitter. The criticism comes over Musk’s response to a post that makes what some call an “antisemitic” claim about Jewish communities that push the same “dialectical hatred against whites” that they say they “want people to stop using against them.”

In a response to the post, Musk commented that the post “said the actual truth.” The post claimed that western Jewish communities have been in support of “hordes of minorities” immigrating to the United States. The post added that only now are the western Jewish populations realizing that the minorities they have supported “don’t exactly like them too much.”

In a later post on the same thread, Musk stated that despite the majority of the West being mainly supportive of the Jewish people and Israel, it is “unjustly” attacked by the Anti-Defamation League. Musk added that this is because the Anti-Defamation League is unable to “criticize the minority groups who are their primary threat.” Musk stated that this is wrong, adding that it “needs to stop.”

On Twitter, Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt posted a screenshot of Musk’s response to the initial post. Greenblatt wrote that “it is indisputably dangerous” when “antisemitism is exploding” around the world to “promote antisemitic theories.”

White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said that Musk’s response to the post was an “abhorrent promotion of antisemitic and racist hate.” He added that the post repeated a “hideous lie.” Bates stated that the post that Musk agreed with promoted the same claim that led to Robert Bowers’ 2018 shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh that killed 11 people. Bates added that it is “unacceptable” at any time to repeat the lie that is “behind the most fatal act of antisemitism” in the history of America.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, since the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas in Israel, there has been a 316 percent increase in antisemitic incidents in the U.S. compared to the same time period in 2022.
