Wave of ARRESTS – Supreme Court Chaos!

(USNewsMag.com) – For the first time since a nationwide wave of attacks on pro-life resources centers that involved vandalism and arson occurred in the months following the leak of a Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade, two activists have been indicted for their involvement in the destruction and intimidation campaign.

According to the Department of Justice, Amber Smith-Stewart and Caleb Freestone were indicted for allegedly using threats to intimidate employees and interfere with or prevent their ability to provide reproductive health services. This is a violation of federal law. According to The Daily Caller News Foundation, this is the first known arrest or indictment that has occurred since the rash of violent attacks began in May 2022. Those attacks were allegedly part of a widespread plot by a pro-Roe group that calls themselves Jane’s Revenge.

The Department of Justice invoked the FACE Act in their indictment. The FACE Act made it a federal crime to interfere with a provider of “reproductive health care.” This Act has most commonly been used against anti-abortion protesters. The Biden Administration has been accused of abusing its power and using the FACE Act to unfairly target nonviolent pro-life activists.

Freestone and Smith-Stewart could each face up to $350,000 in fines and a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison if convicted. Both could also be subject to three years of supervised release.

Caleb Freestone has previously been charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing, and resisting arrest. Those charges stem from an incident at a Miami-Dade County School Board meeting. The incident occurred while the school board was discussing a curriculum that contains mature subject matter that parents alleged was not age appropriate.

According to WLRN, Caleb is also involved in far-left climate activism, namely extremist groups like Extinction Rebellion and Whatever It Takes. Extinction Rebellion has recently been accused of cult-like behavior by a former member in the UK chapter.

Amber Smith-Stewart has posted many advertisements and photographs showing her support for a variety of far-left protests including those specific to anti-police movements.
