
(USNewsMag.com) – Former press communications director for the 2020 campaign of former President Donald Trump, Erin Perrine, joined the “Never Back Down” PAC. Her role will be as the communications director.
The “Never Back Down” PAC was formed to support Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is expected to announce a run for the 2024 Republican nomination for president after the end of the Florida legislative session in May. The PAC was formed in March 2023 by chairman Ken Cuccinelli, a homeland security official under former President Donald Trump. The super PAC has its headquarters in Atlanta.
In 2020, Perrine served as the national spokesperson for Trump’s campaign. In 2021, she served as the communications director for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
Prior to working on Trump’s 2020 campaign, Perrine worked in the office of House Speaker and California Rep. Kevin McCarthy, as well as South Dakota Sen. John Thune. She also worked on campaigns for Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson as well as the campaign of former House Speaker and former Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan.
“Never Back Down” super PAC’s executive director Chris Jankowski stated that Erin will help deliver their message, and play a role in getting DeSantis into the White House.
Jeff Roe, who is a Republican strategist, has also been brought into the super PAC as an adviser. During the 2016 presidential race, he w served as an adviser to Cruz. He also served as an adviser to Glenn Youngkin during his 2021 campaign for governor of Virginia. Roe is also the founder of Axiom Strategies.
With the addition of Perrine and Roe to the super PAC, two of Trump’s former officials or aides are now supporting DeSantis.
In April, DeSantis is planning to visit New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Michigan, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Ohio as part of his book tour as well as to speak at Republican events in the areas he travels to.
