Trump Challenger ATTACKS – NEW Strategy Launched

(USNewsMag.com) – After launching his campaign for the 2024 Republican nomination for President June 6, Chris Christie has set his sights on former President Donald Trump. Christie, the former governor of New Jersey, says his attacks on Trump will be successful.

Christie’s confidence comes from his strategy to defeat Trump, which he says involves “prosecuting the case” against Trump in public. According to Christie, who is a former federal prosecutor, Trump supporters have never heard another “Republican prosecute the case against him.”

Christie said he will know if his strategy is working if his poll numbers rise and if he is continuing to raise money. Attacks on the former president usually cause Trump’s poll numbers to rise and other candidates to plummet.

Christie feels Trump is not qualified to run for president after the events of Jan. 6, his claims of a stolen election, and charges involving classified documents.

Christie went on to list what Trump promised but did not accomplish while he was in office, including building the border wall, balancing the budget, and repealing and replacing Obamacare.

Even though he was set on highlighting Trump’s faults, Christie did list some of Trump’s accomplishments, including the tax cut, regulatory reforms as well as the Abraham Accords in the Middle East. However, according to Christie, Trump failed “on the main core things he promised our Republican base.”

Christie believes he can not only take on Trump with this strategy, but also appeal to independent voters in the general election against President Joe Biden.

Christie even hinted at not supporting Trump if he is the nominee. In 2016, Christie endorsed Trump after dropping out of the primary. In 2020, Christie was a close adviser to Trump before the election. Since 2020, Christie has sought to distance himself from Trump.

Christie’s campaign has the support of “Tell It Like It Is,” a new super PAC formed by Christie’s allies.
