TRAITORS – These RINOs Let Him Get Away!

(USNewsMag.com) – The would-be censure of California Rep. Adam Schiff in the House of Representatives was blocked by 20 Republicans who voted with the Democrats June 14.

Schiff would have been censured for insisting that during the 2016 election former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia. The resolution, which was introduced by Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, failed in a vote of 225-196.

Luna introduced the resolution after the release of Special Counsel John Durham’s report in May which determined the FBI should not have launched its investigation into Trump-Russia. Schiff led the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into the alleged ties between Trump and Russia and asserted that there was evidence to support the claim of collusion.

The resolution included censuring as well as condemning Schiff for behavior that “misleads the American people.” It also would have included an investigation by the Ethics Committee into lies Schiff allegedly told.

However, before the vote, Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie stated he was opposed to the part of the resolution that included a potential fine for Schiff of $16 million. The fine was not required. In a tweet before the vote Massie stated the fine “is a violation of the 27th and 8th amendments.”

Massie voted against the measure. The 19 other Republicans that voted against the resolution include Arizona Rep. Juan Ciscomani, Arkansas Rep. Steve Womack, California Rep. Kevin Kiley, California Rep. Young Kim, California Rep. Tom McClintock, California Rep. Jay Obernolte, California Rep. David Valadao, Idaho Rep. Michael Simpson, Louisiana Rep. Garret Graves, New Jersey Rep. Thomas Kean, New York Rep. Michael Lawler, New York Rep. Marcus Molinaro, North Dakota Rep. Kelly Armstrong, Ohio Rep. Warren Davidson, Ohio Rep. Michael Turner, Oklahoma Rep. Tom Cole, Oregon Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, Pennsylvania Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, and Texas Rep. Kay Granger.

After the vote, Luna stated she would remove the fine and submit the resolution again to investigate and censure Schiff. In a tweet she said, “See you next week, Adam.”
