This REQUEST For Bernie Sanders Makes Sense – But He’s Angry!

(USNewsMag.com) – Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, criticized Nikki Haley for bringing up the notion that all politicians 75 years of age and older should be required to pass competency tests. Sanders referred to the idea as ridiculous. Haley is a former governor of South Carolina and is campaigning for the presidential nomination on the Republican ticket for 2024.

In her first week of campaigning for the White House, Haley, 51, called for a new era of Republican leadership. The idea of putting politicians’ knowledge to the test has been seen as a jab at President Biden (age 80) and previous President Trump (age 76).

Sanders expressed his disbelief in the concept of a competency test during an appearance on CBS’s “Face The Nation,” describing it as being absurd. He proclaimed that all forms of bigotry, including racism, sexism, and homophobia, would be combated. He added, “I think we should also be fighting ageism.”

But Sanders said in the interview that people should evaluate candidates based on their beliefs and the programs they support, rather than their age. He suggested individuals evaluate the politician’s actions and values. He urged voters to look at the things they’re fighting for. He said that he doesn’t support Donald Trump’s ideals. But the things Joe Biden advocates and accomplishes are more important than his age.

Sanders remarked that many people in their forties aren’t really qualified, implying that age really doesn’t matter.

Sanders has indicated that he would vote for President Biden in 2024 if he decides to run for reelection. If elected to a second term, Biden would be 82 years old at that time.

According to Sanders, there is a current agreement that President Biden has been doing a decent job, but maybe not all we would have liked. Although he wouldn’t presume to speak for others, he did say that he would back Biden’s candidacy if he declares he will run again.
