(USNewsMag.com) – Adriana Kuch and her boyfriend are seen in an unsettling video strolling down their public high school corridor when a student approaches and begins slapping Adriana in the face with a water bottle. When Adriana hits the ground, a group of students relentlessly kick and punch her. The youngster who recorded the horrifying footage can be heard cheering.
Two days after the disturbing video went viral, Kuch, a Central Regional High School student, was discovered dead at home on February 3.
After the video of females brutally beating up the girl in the high school corridor circulated, the 14-year-old girl from New Jersey committed suicide.
Her father has now vowed to honor her memory by calling attention to a failing educational system that, in his opinion, ignored severe school bullying.
Adriana’s father, Michael Kuch, was horrified to learn about the bullying event. He said he took his 14-year-old daughter to the police to report the event.
The father said that after the incident, his daughter had shown him footage of people teasing and threatening her on TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat. Adriana allegedly endured months of bullying from other students at the nearby high school.
Michael said that, despite his outreach to the teachers, “no action was taken by anybody.”
Family members discovered Adriana dead in her New Jersey home only two days later.
The family is suing the school.
“I’m furious. I put the responsibility on the girls, the school, and the police. I want justice to be served and her case to get as much attention as possible so that no one can ignore it,” the distraught father said.
Michael expressed his belief that his daughter would still be alive if the school and police acted immediately.
Three kids from the video encounter were charged with third-degree criminal assault as of Thursday night, while a fourth was charged with disorderly conduct. The local high school expelled all four of the attackers.
