Biden’s Approval Tanks Far Below What Anyone Thought Ever Possible
(USNewsMag.com) – President Joe Biden took office in 2021 with relatively high approval ratings; Gallup reported they were 57% when he was inaugurated. Those numbers began steadily decreasing in the spring of that year and have not bounced back. Now they might have reached their worst levels yet.
A new poll from Monmouth University showed 79% of voters believe the country is on the wrong track. That’s up from 61% in March 2021. According to the respondents, 57% disapprove of the job Biden is doing. Even more Americans disapprove of the job Congress is doing. A shocking 77% of voters disapprove of the work of lawmakers on Capitol Hill while only 15% said they approve.

The poll’s respondents said 26% of people thought the economy was the single most important issue facing the country and 35% said it’s abortion.
Voters were also asked who they would rather see in power, 48% responded they either want the GOP or lean right, while 44% of voters said they prefer or lean Democratic. Those numbers are almost even, demonstrating there’s bipartisan agreement about Biden’s poor job performance.
It’s clear Biden has a lot of work to do if he wants to regain the support of the American people, but Congress does as well. The question is whether the American people are going to boot the Left out of power in November to try to get the country back on the right track (no pun intended).
