Lawsuit FILED – Biden Admin Coverup Exposed?

(USNewsMag.com) – A lawsuit was filed last Wednesday alleging that the FBI and Justice Department are concealing information about the FBI’s background investigation into DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the Daily Caller reported.

The lawsuit, filed by America First Legal Foundation, is asking the FBI and DOJ to release documents related to the investigation after the group’s FOIA request for the documents was denied.

In early January, America First Legal submitted a FOIA request to the FBI for records of its background investigation into Secretary Mayorkas, including the Form SF-86 and supporting security clearance documents like waiver forms completed by Mayorkas “or his designees,” allowing the FBI to conduct the background check as part of the nomination process.

A week later, the FBI denied the FOIA request.

America First Legal appealed the decision, arguing that the records were submitted to Congress. However, the FBI again denied the FOIA request.

In a statement to the Daily Caller, America First Legal Vice President Gene Hamilton said the public has the right to know the extent of Secretary Mayorkas’s “foreign ties and contacts.”

Hamilton said disclosure of the records would be consistent with the FBI’s disclosure of its background investigation into former Trump Attorney General Jeff Sessions. He said there is “no reason” why the FBI should refuse to disclose the same information about Mayorkas.

Central to America First Legal’s complaint is a 2015 inspector general’s report revealing that Mayorkas personally intervened to help foreign investors in the EB-5 visa program who had connections to top Democrats while he was serving as director of US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

In its statement, the group accuses Mayorkas of dereliction of duty, claiming that his “abysmal performance” in enforcing immigration law has “turned America into a borderless nation.” The group maintains that both Mayorkas and the Biden administration have “turned a blind eye” as Americans are being killed at the hands of illegals who “never should have been allowed to enter America.”
