(USNewsMag.com) – The House’s January 6 committee is in full swing. Democrats and two Republicans are accused of trying to make the GOP and supporters of former President Donald Trump look bad. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is being asked to kick the conservative lawmakers involved in the witch hunt out of his conference.
Jenny Beth Martin, an honorary chairperson for the Tea Party Patriots Action, is calling on McCarthy to strip Reps. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Liz Cheney (R-WY) of their GOP conference memberships. She said the lawmakers have become “willing agents” of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) war on Trump, his former officials, and his supporters. Like other Conservatives, Martin believes the entire point of the commission is to punish the 45th president and his 74 million voters.

The call to remove the two comes after Cheney read former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows’ text messages on January 6. The congresswoman is being accused of reading them without context in order to make the party look bad. Shortly after the charade, the committee unanimously voted to hold Meadows in criminal contempt for defying their subpoena.
Martin went on to say Cheney and Kinzinger are allowing the Left to claim the committee is bipartisan because they’re on it. By removing them from the GOP conference, McCarthy could end the charade.
McCarthy has not said whether he will consider the request.
