Iran Now Has a New Missile That Can Target US Bases

(USNewsMag.com) – Since President Joe Biden took office in 2021, Iran has become increasingly more belligerent. The country’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei even shared a video depicting a mock assassination of former President Donald Trump. Now, the country claims it has acquired missiles capable of hitting US bases.

On February 9, Iran announced it had acquired a new long-range missile the country named the Khaibar-buster. The name refers to a 7th century battle between Islamic fighters and Jewish people; the Muslims won the fight.

According to the Times of Israel, the missile allegedly has a high level of accuracy and can defeat missile shields. However, the news site was quick to point out the claims by the Iranians have not been independently verified.

Iran is the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. The nation funds rebel groups that regularly attack US troops and allies. It claims the new weapon is completely manufactured in its own country which also means it’s accelerating its weapons program, news that’s deeply concerning, if true.

While Iran is becoming even more bold and dangerous, Biden continues to try to negotiate with the terrorism sponsor to enter into a nuclear agreement. One has to wonder: at what cost?
