Idaho Parents Express Confidence in Murder Victim’s Ex-Boyfriend

(USNewsMag.com) – Police officers in Moscow, Idaho, are investigating the horrifying murders of four college students. Authorities recently revealed one of the victims made multiple phone calls to her ex-boyfriend the morning she died. Her parents are now expressing support for him.

On November 13, 21-year-old Kaylee Goncalves placed several phone calls to her ex-boyfriend, Jack, before someone murdered her. Kristi and Steve Goncalves appeared on Fox News’ “Lawrence Jones Cross Country” to discuss the phone calls. The murder victim’s mother said the police have wasted their time investigating the ex. She said he was “just as distraught” as they were and that the young man is “1,000%, 2,000%” part of their family. She made it very clear they stood behind him.

Law enforcement has since cleared Goncalves’ ex-boyfriend and has asked the public for help in the case.

On the evening of November 12, Goncalves and her longtime best friend, 21-year-old Madison Mogen, went out to a bar. Afterward, they stopped at a food truck and then went home. Police believe the two women, along with Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin, both 20-year-olds, were stabbed to death sometime between 3 and 4 a.m., while they were sleeping. Two other roommates were home but were not injured.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 208-883-7180 or email [email protected].
