Recent Confession Shows Facebook And FBI Are In DEEP Trouble
(USNewsMag.com) – During the 2020 presidential election, Conservatives accused social media sites of suppressing negative stories about Joe Biden and his family. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently confirmed that’s exactly what happened, prompting a response from the FBI.
On August 25, Zuckerberg appeared on the “Joe Rogan Experience,” where he discussed the censorship controversy. Host Joe Rogan asked the tech billionaire how he handles censoring content that’s getting a lot of attention, like the Hunter Biden laptop story. The Facebook CEO explained that during the 2020 presidential election, the FBI approached his company and told them to be on “high alert” for misinformation because of Russian interference. He explained that based on a general alert from federal authorities, his company throttled it for five to seven days.

According to NBC News, the FBI responded to Zuckerberg’s remarks explaining it “routinely notifies U.S. private sector entities […] of potential threat information.” That prompted a response from Meta via Twitter. The statement said federal authorities “shared general warnings about foreign interference — nothing specific about Hunter Biden.”
As we've said, nothing about the Hunter Biden laptop story is new. Below is what Mark told Sen. Johnson in Oct 2020 and what Mark told Joe Rogan this week. The FBI shared general warnings about foreign interference – nothing specific about Hunter Biden. https://t.co/pHtzvh6r0r

Republicans responded to the CEO’s remarks by accusing him of censoring information, a belief they have had since the story broke in 2020.
