Biden Admin Responds to Arizona Governor’s Border Actions
(USNewsMag.com) – President Joe Biden’s administration and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s (R) admin are currently locked in a battle over the border. The federal government is demanding the Republican remove storage containers he placed along the southern frontier. However, Ducey is not just standing his ground, he’s escalating the fight.
Ducey filed a lawsuit against the federal government, seeking permission from the courts to keep the storage containers along the border. An October 21 press release from the governor announced the suit and claimed the communities along the border “are overwhelmed by illegal activity as a result of the Biden administration’s” poor policies. He went on to say he wasn’t “backing down,” demanding the president do what’s necessary to secure the border.

The Biden Administration has accused Ducey of trespassing on both federal and tribal land. Fox News reported the Bureau of Reclamation’s Lower Colorado Basin Regional Director, Jacklynn Gould, accused the governor of “harming federal lands and resources” by refusing to move the more than 100 containers.
More than 2 million people entered the country illegally in the fiscal year 2022, which ended on October 1. The constant flood of people is putting a strain on states like Arizona. The governor maintains he’s just doing what he can to protect his state and its residents.
What do you think about the disagreement?
