Elon Musk Warns More “Smoking Guns” Incoming After Hunter Biden Report

(USNewsMag.com) – Twitter’s newest owner is only beginning to revolutionize the app and challenge free speech and press standards. Elon Musk revealed on Friday that internal communications within the company proved a concerted effort by top Twitter officials to suppress the New York Post’s Hunter Biden story shortly before the 2020 elections. A day after this bombshell revelation, Musk promised to unveil more “smoking guns” regarding former Twitter officials and how they actively worked in unison with government officials and then-Democratic political candidates to censor information on the app.

In a Twitter Spaces Q&A session, Elon Musk vowed to release more information related to political censorship and the unequal standards set forth by Twitter officials against Republicans and conservative users shortly. He confessed the purpose of this is to pressure mainstream media outlets to be more transparent and committed to reporting on the truth, even if it meant making prominent figures on both sides of the aisle uncomfortable with the coverage.

Musk celebrated the accomplishments of the Twitter Spaces session, including gathering more than 1.1 million users to tune in live to a conversation that took place for more than 5 hours.

“It’s frankly the behavior that is to be expected from an organization that is based in San Francisco which is far left,” Musk said, while also telling listeners that over 99% of political contributions for Twitter came from Democrats.

The timing around when additional “Twitter Files” may be released remains unclear, but it seems to be falling in line with promises made by Republican officials in scrutinizing former Twitter officials such as Vijaya Gadde and her role as one of Twitter’s top lawyers and the former head of Legal, Policy, and Trust. Many on the Right dub her as Twitter’s former “chief censor” executive, and for good reason. She was primarily responsible for censoring the New York Post bombshell story on Hunter Biden’s laptop and is also responsible for permanently banning former President Donald J. Trump shortly after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Republicans promise to hold those involved in censorship acts accountable after retaking the House come January, with the Judiciary committee and Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the incoming Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, promising to investigate anyone involved, including Gadde.

Rep. Comer went on Fox News’s “Hannity” show and confirmed it: “In January when I become chairman of the House Oversight Committee, I can promise you this: every employee at Twitter that was involved in suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story will have an opportunity to come before Congress and explain their actions to the American people.”
