CNN Producer Arrested By FBI, Indicted for Grooming Minors

( – CNN is having a rough month. The network fired one of its biggest stars, Chris Cuomo, at the beginning of December. Now one of its staffers has been arrested on horrific charges.

On December 10, the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont announced the arrest of 44-year-old John Griffin of Stamford, CT. The FBI arrested the CNN producer after a federal grand jury indicted him on three counts of using messaging applications to facilitate interstate commerce to try to entice underage girls to engage in sexual activity.

According to the complaint, Griffin allegedly used Google apps like Hangout and Kik to communicate with people he thought were the parents of minor girls. He told them he believed a “woman [girl] is a woman regardless of her age” and believed girls are meant to serve men. He’s accused of sending a woman who had 9-year-old and 13-year-old daughters $3,000 to fly her and the younger girl to Boston in June 2020. There, he picked them up and took them to a place where the little girl was allegedly forced to engage in unlawful sexual activity.

Griffin is also accused of volunteering to engage in a “virtual training session” that would have included him instructing a 14-year-old girl and her mother to touch one another without clothes. He allegedly wanted to fly them to his ski house for more grooming.

On his LinkedIn profile, Griffin brags that he worked “shoulder-to-shoulder” with Chris Cuomo, getting him through each show and producing breaking news for CNN. He’s now facing 10 years in prison on each count.
