Biden’s Hot Seat – GOP Fires IMPEACHMENT Shot!

(USNewsMag.com) – On Aug. 11, Florida Rep. Greg Steube stated that he had filed four articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden “for high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Steube stated that “It’s long past time to impeach Joe Biden.”

Steube’s articles of impeachment accuse Biden of obstruction of justice as well as bribery in relation to Hunter Biden’s alleged illegal business dealings and tax fraud.

The first article stems from Biden’s alleged involvement in an influence-peddling scheme from 2009 to 2017. It alleges that Biden committed Hobbs Act extortion as well as “honest services fraud.” The article also alleges Biden abused the power of his office when he allegedly accepted bribes. The accusation comes after House Oversight Committee Chairman and Kentucky Rep. James Comer released a memo on Aug. 9 purporting to show the Biden family received more than $20 million in foreign payments.

The second article charges Biden with obstruction of justice for allegedly colluding with Department of Justice officials during the investigation into Hunter Biden’s tax crimes. The second article cites testimony from an IRS whistleblower.

In the third and fourth articles, Biden is accused of “fraud” as well as paying for illegal drugs for Hunter Biden.

In a statement, Steube said that “The evidence continues to mount by the day.”

Currently, at least four Republican-led congressional committees are investigating and building cases to impeach Biden.

Steube is the second Republican to file articles of impeachment against Biden. In June, Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert filed articles of impeachment against Biden related to his border policies. After a vote, the House sent the resolution to committees for review.

Steube also introduced legislation on Aug. 11 that would require the Secret Service head to write reports regarding the illicit use of controlled substances in the White House. The Helping Understand Narcotics Traces at the Executive Residence (HUNTER) Act was proposed by Steube after the investigation by the Secret Service into cocaine found at the White House in July was closed without identifying a person of interest.
