Biden Claims Cooperation With Mexico To Stem Immigration Tide
(USNewsMag.com) – The immigration crisis has been raging since President Joe Biden reversed many of predecessor’s policies. Vice President Kamala Harris is the face of the administration’s response to the problem, but many have said she’s not doing enough to stop it. Now, the POTUS is trying to work with a neighboring country to stop the problem.
On September 20, Biden spoke to reporters at an event when one of them asked about the massive influx of migrants. More than 2 million immigrants crossed the border in fiscal year 2022. The president responded that there were fewer coming from Mexico and Central America, but the country is now seeing a wave originating from Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Cuba, which are ruled by socialists.
The POTUS told reporters he was working with Mexico and other nations to deal with the immigration crisis. Biden did not go into any more detail than that. The Epoch Times reported White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre only said the administration was working with the US “regional partners to address [the] new challenge.”
The US is working with officials from #Mexico to stop #IllegalImmigration, President Biden said on Sept. 20.

While the Biden administration is slow to act, leaders like Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) are taking matters into their own hands. They have relocated migrants to sanctuary states to alleviate the pressure on their own communities.
