(USNewsMag.com) – Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, expressed concern during a House Oversight hearing on June 5 regarding an informant who had supplied the FBI with material.
The source provided information on a bribery plot that allegedly implicated Joe Biden, who was vice president, to the FBI. If they release their informant’s identity, they fear for his life.

South Carolina Republican Representative Nancy Mace said that the FBI first denied the reality of the paper before suddenly producing it. Then they said the document’s claims couldn’t be confirmed and the whistleblower wasn’t trustworthy. The Obama administration recruited the whistleblower because they believed he was trustworthy, as was later discovered.
The FBI has now informed them that the whistleblower is not safe to go public with his story. She wondered what use the FBI is if they can’t verify facts in order to investigate possible crimes while maintaining people’s safety.
Kentucky Representative James Comer, the chairman of the Oversight Committee, said that he had seen the FD-1023 form describing the alleged plan. For failing to comply with a subpoena from Congress, he has signaled his intention to bring charges of contempt against Christopher Wray, the FBI Director. Comer was only allowed to look at the form; he was not allowed to copy it or carry it with him.
According to Comer, the FBI personnel he spoke with after reading the form that day verified that the FBI’s creation of an unclassified document had not been refuted. The FBI has repeatedly claimed the data it has is being utilized in an active investigation.
He continued by saying that Congress has to look into the matter more because of the seriousness and intricacy of the claims. The year 2020 appeared on this specific paper. However, there are comments in the file that are dated 2017. According to him, the FBI was first tipped off about the bribery plot by this whistleblower in 2017.
Many Americans no longer have faith in the FBI’s impartiality as an agency that enforces the law, and Comer is demanding answers.
