66 Medical Clinics Are Pausing Possibly Illegal Procedure
(USNewsMag.com) – In June, the Supreme Court reversed its nearly 50-year-old abortion precedent. The decision stripped women of federal abortion protections. Since the ruling was handed down, dozens of clinics have stopped offering the service.
According to a new report by the Guttmacher Institute, 100 days after the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, at least 66 clinics have stopped providing terminations. The medical facilities span 15 states, leaving some without a single abortion clinic.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America also issued a post-Roe analysis. The organization celebrated the fact that about 200,000 lives will be saved each year thanks to the SCOTUS decision.
The following states no longer have any clinics offering abortion:
- Alabama
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- Idaho
- Kentucky
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Oklahoma
- South Dakota
- Tennessee
- Texas
- West Virginia
- Wisconsin
The Guttmacher Institute reported in 2020, there were 125,780 abortions performed in the 14 states where the service is now no longer accessible. Georgia is the only one of the 15 states that still offer terminations, but only up to six weeks gestation.
The news is a major win for pro-life groups, like Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, that have been fighting for decades to stop the procedure from being performed in the US.
